Music
Music is a vital expression of worship that enriches our services and glorifies God. Making music is a joyful and rewarding experience we are delighted to share with you.
“Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly; teach and admonish one another in all wisdom; and with gratitude in your hearts sing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs to God.” ~ Colossians 3:16
The Music Ministries of St. Martin’s-in-the-Field seek to lead the congregation in worship and praise through a wide range of sacred music, from plainchant to works by living composers. Our Adult Choir, Handbell Choir, and Children’s Choir serve faithfully to deepen the worship of the Church.
Our ministries are not centered on performance, but on offering our gifts to the glory of God and for the nurture and strengthening of God’s people. Through rehearsals and worship, we grow together in faith, fellowship, and musical skill, supporting one another in times of joy and difficulty.
Beyond weekly services, the Music Ministries of St. Martin’s-in-the-Field share God’s love with the wider community through Evensong, hymn festivals, and concerts. We strive to walk faithfully, prayerfully, and joyfully with God through music.
